Packaging & Branding
Marco Polo is start up ice cream company that believes in the power of adventure. They wanted to create an identity for their ice cream product that would embrace a sense of adventure and encourage kids to use their imagination and dream big. Marco Polo‘s audience is kids aged 3+.
I created a design solution that told their story with the use of color and illustration. Each one of Marco Polo’s flavors brings the consumer on a unique and colorful adventure. Included with every container of ice cream is an adventure themed activity book.

Bodoni is a modern serif typeface. It’s dazzling beauty comes with it’s high contrast between thick and thin stroke weights, and slightly condensed shape. Bodoni was based on the work of John Baskerville, but has pushed his ideas to a more extreme conclusion.
Bodoni is fabulously suited for use at larger sizes. It is a great serif for headlines and subheads. There are also some typeface variations that are optimized for use at smaller sizes.
I enjoy the poster in black and white but I've added a color version as well.
