Packaging & Branding
Marco Polo is start up ice cream company who believes in the power of adventure. They wanted to create an identity system for their ice cream product that would embrace a sense of adventure and encourage kids to use their imagination and dream big. Marco Polo‘s audience is kids aged 3+.
I created a design solution that told their story with the use of color and illustration. Each one of Marco Polo’s packages brings the consumer on a unique and colorful adventure. Included with every container of ice cream is a themed adventure book. The adventure book continues to encourage kids to explore, be curious, and dream big.
Animated Gif - After Effects
This is my first dabble in the animated character world.
Bodoni is a modern serif typeface. It’s dazzling beauty comes with it’s high contrast between thick and thin stroke weights, and slightly condensed shape. Bodoni was based on the work of John Baskerville, but has pushed his ideas to a more extreme conclusion.
Bodoni is fabulously suited for use
at larger sizes. It is a great serif for headlines and subheads. There are also some typeface variations that are optimized for use at smaller sizes.
I enjoy the poster in black and white but I've added a color version as well.
